I enjoy teaching those who are new to playing guitar, drums/percussion, and bass as well as those looking to advance their techniques. Whether you want to learn to play simple chords on guitar, hold down a bass line or simple beat on drums, or want to learn how to play more advanced forms of playing, I am happy to work with you.

I do not traditionally work with books or scale charts. I help you to learn how to PLAY the instrument, and advance your understanding of music to express the style(s) that you enjoy. When it comes time to learn something new, I will show you, instead of telling you to read it in on a page first.

I work with contemporary styles of music - rock, blues, country, and folk, when giving lessons.

My students typically meet with me once a week for 45 minutes, give or take. I expect my students to practice between the times when we meet, so that we may advance upon our next meeting. This does not typically require an ample amount of time, but it is necessary.

* I require a student to be at least 10 years of age for lessons, as younger ages require different techniques.
